Over the past five years, it’s been a delight to see the Handbook reaching audiences way beyond the UK. For instance, last year I was invited to speak at a seminar in Stockholm sharing perspectives on rare books librarianship with a group of (mostly) Swedish librarians. The paper I gave has just been published, along with others from the same series, in this new book published by the University of Uppsala, Bevara för framtiden (which means, Preserving for the future). My contribution explored the stories of the collections at Bradford and reflected on the issues we face.
Everyone was so welcoming, and I loved fika (like a tea-break, but everyone joins in!). Read the full-text of the book on Uppsala’s repository.
